W & T Avery Ltd. is a British manufacturer of weighing machines. The company was founded in the early 18th century and took the name W & T Avery in 1818.
I have a W & T Avery LTD Makers Birmingham Class B brass scale with a dark wood base that is 22 inches long and 11-1/2 inches wide. It has engraved in both sides of the beam "to weigh 2 lbs". The brass post is 25 inches high. The balance arm is 14-1/2 inches wide. In the center of the balance arm is a symbol that looks like a crown.
Comes with 7 weight.
1 st one is a 1/2 oz.
2 nd one is a 1 o.z.
3 rd one is a 4 o.z.
4 th one is a 8 o.z.
5 th one is a 1 lb.
6 th one is a 2 lb
and the last one is a 4 lb. weight.
All of them has a crown mark on it an a number.
